LONDON, Ontario – (BUSINESS WIRE) – TruCon, a new technology company based in London, today announced the official launch of its website, an online platform designed to streamline construction and farming operations by connecting trucks to contractors. TruCon will revolutionize the construction industry by providing owners / operators with the ability to search and accept orders from any device and contractor to instantly book and schedule trucks for orders, a feature currently absent in the industry.

The challenges of accessing available trucks for jobs, as well as finding jobs for their trucks, led Andrew Davies, a local construction professional, to create an online marketplace to connect trucks with those who hire them.

“This is an industry that has been left behind by technology,” said Andrew Davies, CEO and founder of TruCon. “Trucks are underutilized and jobs are not being properly maintained despite high demand, simply because the industry relies on picking up the phone to book trucks or find jobs. This leads to delays in work, unused equipment and manpower, and limited visibility of the products available on both sides. The balance between supply and demand has been a challenge in the industry for many years. ” creates a transparent, two-sided marketplace. Owner / operator users can set preferences to find and book jobs that suit their equipment and schedule days or weeks in advance. Contractors, or those who coordinate and manage equipment for a job, can post jobs instantly and book trucks for projects ranging from small residential jobs to larger commercial jobs. Hooking up and scheduling work right in one location ensures that construction stays on schedule and on budget, and trucks don’t idle waiting for work.

“It can be overwhelming on both sides of the industry – contractors don’t have enough trucks to get jobs done and owners / operators don’t have the connections to find work,” says Davies. “Our technology connects trucks with contractors in their area, making it easier than ever to find work for your trucks or trucks for your work.”

A beta version of TruCon is currently available in southwestern Ontario and the greater Toronto area. As a subscription-based service, the platform is currently free for all users. Further updates are planned. Visit to register a truck or post a job now.
