A truck crane overturned yesterday in Mesa, Arizona and two mobile homes experienced a boom.

The crane, a boom truck derivative owned and operated by Gonzales Cranes, operated with the boom extended 29 meters and reportedly had raised utility poles before losing stability and tipping over.

The overturned crane

The crane worked with booms that were set up within the width of the chassis. The base does not seem to have been sufficient for the boom radius. Fortunately, no one was injured, even though the operator was badly shaken by the incident.

A four-axle truck crane was called to salvage the overturned crane

The outrigger beams were not extended
