The articulated hauler specialist Terex Trucks has been renamed Rokbak with a new vision for the future. The Scottish manufacturer unveiled the new brand on September 1st at a digital launch event that was attended by dealers, customers, the media and Volvo Group colleagues from around the world.

The Rokbak brand represents the continuation of the company’s strong transport tradition with a future-oriented vision. It also reflects the significant strides the organization has made in recent years, as well as its new strategic priorities.

“We became a member of the Volvo Group seven years ago, which has allowed us to make significant improvements in all areas of our business,” said Paul Douglas, Managing Director of Rokbak. “Millions of pounds have been invested in improving our products, modernizing our facilities, expanding our network and developing our people. It has been a process of continuous development, so we feel it is right to honor this development with a new brand name exciting new chapter in our history and we will continue to invest to further improve our machines for our customers. “

As part of the new brand launch, models such as the previous 28-tonne payload RA30 and the 38-tonne payload RA40 will now be available in Rokbak colors and finishes. While maintaining the experienced design, craftsmanship and precision synonymous with the company’s haulers, the RA30 and RA40 offer better fuel economy, lower emissions, improved safety and longer durability.

“We are very excited to present our new brand and of course our freight forwarders are the showcase,” said Douglas. “We already have a very good order backlog for the new brand and want to further expand our reputation, our dealer network and our market share.”

As part of the Volvo Group, Rokbak has continued to develop, particularly in the areas of product design, sustainability, safety and people. In product design, the company has introduced Stage V engines to improve fuel efficiency and operation for customers. Other improvements include a new transmission on the 28-ton (30.9-ton) machine, the introduction of haul track telematics, and a greater focus on driver wellbeing and safety. With a view to sustainability, the company’s production facility has switched to 100% renewable energies and works according to science-based goals and ISO standards, as well as with the aim of reducing CO2 emissions.

The focus on security was emphasized in all areas, but especially on the employees. Changes in the processes in the factory have seen a greater focus on maintaining employee safety while maintaining high standards and low downtime. There is an ongoing focus on professional development to keep the team at the forefront of skills and expertise. Likewise, the operating standards and training for dealers ensure that the expanded dealer network continues to offer a high level of service.

“We are proud and pleased that the modernized Rokbak brand continues to be an integral part of our organization,” said Melker Jernberg, President Volvo CE and Executive Vice President of the Volvo Group. “We believe in a sustainable future, innovation and the strength of our employees and see all of this encapsulated in Rokbak. At the same time, the company has its own personality, tradition and a loyal customer base and it will be exciting to see how the brand will develop on this new stage of its journey. “
