Ainscough Crane Hire, based in Standish, is investing £ 30m in the first phase of a fleet improvement strategy.

A total of 37 new cranes are to be added to the fleet by the end of the year.

The company already has the largest fleet of cranes in the UK and last month welcomed the first 650t Liebherr LTM1650-8.1 crane in the UK before delivering a wider range of new cranes in 2022 and beyond.

The newcomers will enable Ainscough to further improve the service it offers its customers while increasing productivity through new technologies, innovations and safer lifting solutions.

The addition of Ainscough’s fleet reflects the company’s commitment to helping its customers execute the key construction and infrastructure projects that will fuel the economic recovery from COVID-19, such as: B. HS2 and other important developments.

The new fleet should reduce fuel consumption by up to 10% and generate less noise and CO2 emissions, resulting in quieter crane operations in the various local environments in which Ainscough’s project teams operate.

Peter Gibbs, CEO of Ainscough Crane Hire said: “The arrival of the LTM1650-8.1 in early May was a defining moment for Ainscough Crane Hire. Our investment program shows that we are focused on updating our fleet in order to continuously improve the service we provide to our customers.

“These latest additions, and the models that will arrive in the coming months, offer a variety of lifting solutions.

“The new cranes also have extended telematics functions, which we are combining with a new digital platform in order to provide our customers with real-time data.”

He added, “The wide range of innovations and capabilities these cranes offer make them safer and more productive solutions for our customers.

“In this first phase of our crane investment program, we can respond to changing customer needs and continue to offer smarter and more efficient working methods.”

He said the construction industry is playing a big role in the country’s recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and the company’s investment program is geared towards the needs of its customers: “We look forward to seeing our latest cranes in action on websites across the country in brief. “

Richard Everist, Managing Director of Liebherr UK, said: “The relationship between Ainscough Crane Hire and Liebherr is based on our shared values and commitment to continuous improvement.

“Many of our latest product innovations, particularly those related to security, were developed in collaboration with Ainscough. We are pleased that this collaboration has helped to provide secure lifting solutions as well as productivity and performance increases. “
