The jib of a luffing tower crane working on the construction of a 23-story block of flats on a lot in Pasay City on the south side of Manila, Philippines, collapsed, with part of it crashing through the roof of an adjacent building yesterday.

Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident and most of the damage was confined to the Lions club.
It’s hard to see what exactly went wrong in the photos we’ve received so far. The police are investigating the incident.
