Palfinger has received an order to supply cranes, lifeboats, a lifeboat and davits for Yinson’s Anna Nery FPSO from Malaysia, which will be used on the Marlim 2 field of Petrobras off the coast of Brazil when completed.

As part of the order, Palfinger will supply two electro-hydraulic rigid jib cranes that are adapted to the specific requirements of the project.

Each crane has a reach of 41 meters and a maximum load capacity of 35 tons. In addition, the FPSO ship will be equipped with a lifeboat, four lifeboats and the associated davits. Each lifeboat is designed and built for 75 people.

The use of the Anna Nery FPSO, which was built from the converted Falcon tanker, represents Yinson’s largest project to date and his first assignment in Brazil.

“We are very pleased and proud to be involved in this important project,” says Kjetil Roksvåg, Senior Sales Manager at Palfinger. “When developing and developing devices, we can use our know-how to offer innovative total solutions for floating production market. Palfinger looks forward to building on this partnership in the years to come. “

The Anna Nery FPSO will be installed around 150 kilometers off the Brazilian coast. It will be able to produce 70,000 barrels of oil and 4 million cubic meters of gas per day. The FPSO is expected to go online in 2023 and stay in Brazil for 25 years.
