TORRANCE, Calif., Sept. 7, 2021 / PRNewswire / – Honda today unveiled TrailSport, the next chapter in rugged light trucks. Designed for adventure, TrailSport brings a more rugged design and off-road capability that will be applied step-by-step to specific models within the brand’s light truck range. When the first TrailSport editions hit dealerships later this year, they will continue to drive the new rugged design direction of Honda truck products and become a sign of the off-road capability, versatility and durability that have long been in them.

The first models with the TrailSport treatment have a robust front and rear design, hard-wearing panels and exclusive interior elements, including contrasting orange-colored seams and characteristic all-weather mats that are easier to clean. With Honda’s best-in-class i-VTM4 ™ all-wheel drive system with torque vectoring, you’ll want to be on the dirty trails without sacrificing comfort or the best-in-class on-road dynamics of the brand’s light trucks.

In the next model years and depending on the model, TrailSport’s off-road capabilities will be enhanced with upgrades such as more aggressive tires, full-fledged replacement tires, increased ground clearance, off-road suspension, underbody protection and expanded all-wheel drive system capabilities.

“TrailSport marks the next chapter in our rugged direction and will bring our existing lightweight trucks an exclusive design that appeals to buyers looking for adventure,” said Dave Gardner, executive vice president of national operations, American Honda. “Our US engineering team has drawn on more than 20 years of experience developing high-performance light trucks to create this new line of adventure-ready vehicles.”

The design of the new TrailSport logo expresses enthusiasm for outdoor adventure and is inspired by the beauty of nature and the spirit of discovery. TrailSport will build on Honda’s more than 50-year heritage of extreme off-road engineering and performance that includes its motorcycles, ATVs, side-by-side and light trucks.
