A new family run business in Northamptonshire that detects truck cranes is growing rapidly despite the challenges of starting a new business during a global pandemic.
Silverstar Cranes was founded in Silverstone in September with an investment of more than £ 1 million by a number of entrepreneurs.
The company operates nationwide and supplies cranes to a number of customers. Business development coordinator Oskar White is confident of further growth this year.

“While we’ve managed to maintain a steady increase in customers, we’ve got a lot of walls to climb … like working from home, customer offices being closed, out of personal contact, weather conditions and economic problems,” he said .
“I would like to take this opportunity to show independent people that you can start new businesses and pursue your goals and ambitions even by being blocked.
“We hope for a very successful summer and we welcome as many joinery, timber framing and new construction companies as possible … as well as anyone who needs a hot tub that lifts into their yard!”
Silverstar’s customers include well-known carpenters such as LJ Construction, L & G Carpentry, AMC Carpentry and Whittaker Carpentry.
While the team behind Silverstar Cranes is new to the market, it is by no means green when it comes to running a business.
Oskar said: “We make sure we hire the right people, with a can-do attitude and an eye for perfection. After all, we have to build a good reputation!”
“We’re competitively priced and pride ourselves on going that extra mile to ensure that every job is done with the highest level of skill and safety, while getting it done on time.”
