Legacy of the Garden in Princeton cooperates with Urban seedsand the Evansville Vanderburghh Public Library to offer Juniteenth Book & CookVirtual cooking event for third to fifth graders on Saturday, June 19. Participants pick up groceries and supplies from an EVPL branch, then learn about the traditions of June 18th and prepare their own dish at home on June 19th with virtual guidance. This is the first in a five month series of Book n ‘Cook courses. The class is free.

The Milk Barn Cafe is a new food truck serving

Café Milchscheune is a new food truck that is stationed directly on Autobahn 41 near Darmstadt. It specializes in hot, made-to-order, ice-cold donuts called “Firecakes” in creative flavors like maple bacon, strawberry and marshmallow, blueberry and raspberry, mudpie, and more. Coffee drinks (drip) and ice cream are also offered.

Poppa Bacon’s street kitchenis a new food truck that specializes in worldly flavors. Visit them for dishes like Delhi Butter Chicken with Coconut Rice, Vietnamese Banh Mi Sandwiches, Poutine, the Texas Loin Steak Sandwich with Cheddar and Bacon on Texas Toast, nachos, freshly cut fries and much more.


Savannah’s Cafe just can’t stay closed. The Family Diner on Stringtown Road is open Monday through Friday and on the first weekend of the month from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Savannah’s will also be open on Father’s Day weekend. Stop by and enjoy the wide range of hearty breakfast dishes, sandwiches, lunchtime dishes and homemade desserts at very affordable prices. Catering is also offered.
