The UK Construction Plant-Hire Association (CPA) has appointed Peter Gibbs to chair its Crane Interest Group.
The last chairman was Janet Entwistle, a predecessor of Gibbs as General Manager of Ainscough Crane Hire. She left Ainscough last year after almost three years in the role – see: Link [https://vertikal.net/en/news/story/32542/entwistle-steps-down-at-ainscough](Entwistle resigns). Kevin Minton, CEO of CPA, temporarily chaired the crane group.
Gibbs joined Ainscough in 2018 as Chief Operating Officer and took over as Interim Chief Executive Jeremy Fry in March of that year. He had spent the past 18 years in food logistics after an 18 year career as an officer in the British Army – see: COO for Ainscough and

Kevin Minton of the CPA said, “The Crane Interest Group is one of the most influential industry associations in the sector. Peter’s knowledge, experience and position will no doubt enhance the work of the group for the benefit of the construction industry. “
Gibbs added, “This appointment is a great honor and I look forward to using my role to advance our industry’s interests to key stakeholders.”
