The new 660 ton unit will be the 28th Liebherr crane in the ML Crane Group fleet.

The LR1600 / 2 crawler crane offers excellent load capacities, variable boom and derrick systems as well as improved component dimensions for cost-effective transportation, according to the company. Equipped with the SL8F3 boom system, the crane is ideal for erecting and maintaining wind towers with hub heights of up to 344 feet, and ground pressure is reduced to a minimum with wide 7-foot rail coverings.

“We at ML Crane Group are pleased to announce the 660 tonne LR 1600/2 crawler crane in our huge crane fleet,” said Scott Wilson, President of ML Crane Group. “The crane recently arrived and its first mission is a wind maintenance project for a customer who has been using our company since we started in wind energy over twenty years ago.”
