MASTADON TOWNSHIP, Michigan (WLUC) – A Minnesota man has died after an industrial crane incident in Iron County’s Mastadon Townhip.

Michigan State Police, Iron Mountain Post, responded to the fatal occupational accident at about 12:25 p.m. on August 31 at the Lower Dam Road hydroelectric power station.

The investigation found that employees at Waterworks Marine in La Crosse, Wisconsin, were using a crane mounted on a barge to pull a bulkhead into position when the crane’s boom broke off and hit a worker standing in the country.
