On the morning of March 23, a huge herd of migrating cranes filled the skies of Nebraska.
The Crane Trust habitat conservation group counted approximately 574,000 sandhill cranes in the Central Platte River Valley area two days earlier.
This year the group offered virtual migration tours for the first time COVID-19 pandemic.
