A man climbed on a crane at a construction site in East Hollywood early Friday and forced roads in the area to be closed.

A section of Hollywood Boulevard was closed after the man carrying a bag stepped onto the 50-foot-tall crane around 6 a.m. on the edge of the crane.

Firefighters and police officers climbed onto the crane to help the man. He was helped late on Friday morning.

The Los Angeles Fire Department classified the incident as obvious
“Behavioral Emergency.”
