Liebherr Container Cranes delivered a ship-on-shore container crane (STS) to Terminales Maritimas Del Sureste SA (TMS) in the Spanish port of Alicante.

The crane has a reach of 46.9 m, a span of 15.24 m and a lifting height of 36 m with a load capacity of 50 t under a single lifting spreader and will form a substantial part of the port expansion project operated by TMS as part of a concession from the Alicante Port Authority.

After the order was placed in the third quarter of 2019, the crane was operated in Ireland by Liebherr Container Cranes Ltd. designed and built.

All end devices at TMS are connected to the control center for quality assurance and to guarantee operational performance. The Liebherr crane also has a remote crane management system that enables remote support, service and diagnosis. For TMS, security in your facility is an important consideration. The new Liebherr STS has a traffic light system for controlled traffic flow, laser and mechanical crane-crane anti-collision systems, ulatrasonic anti-collision systems for gantries as well as laser boom-ship anti-collision and rocker beam protection systems.
