The new LR 1700-1.0 from Liebherr combines the advantages of the economical transport of crawler cranes in the 600 ton class with the performance of lattice jib cranes in the 750 ton class and offers all the innovations of the Liebherr crawler crane developments of recent years.

Great mobility and compact dimensions

  • Revised basic machine for the new LR 1700-1.0 based on the dimensions of the LR 1600/2
  • Track width: 8.7 meters
  • Crawler crane length: 11.35 meters
  • Optional quick connection with which the transport weight of the rotating platform can be reduced to 42 tons
  • All transport units for the base machine, including the swivel section, are no wider than three meters
  • The H-lattice sections on the main boom are 3.5 meters long, but can only be supplied with three-meter wide lattice sections
  • Previous components (S-sections for the main boom, the luffing boom, the 600 t head, several winches, hook blocks, ballast plates and the runner) can be used for the new LR 1700-1.0

High performance for industrial and wind power work

  • The basic machine offers between 10 and 15 percent more load capacity
  • The 3.5 meter H-grid sections at the bottom of the main boom improve the system’s lateral stability
  • Maximum main boom length of 165 meters with additional H-sections
  • Robust steel construction for the caterpillars
  • Increased size of the rollers
  • Quadruple drive
  • Six-cylinder diesel engine (400 kilowatts / 544 hp)

The latest derrick system with modular ballast trailer

  • V-frame, a hydraulically adjustable folding frame with which the ballast radius can be set between 13 and 21 meters
  • VarioTray, a small ballast pallet that can be removed quickly and easily
  • Modular ballast trailer ‘MWagon’
  • LICCON2 control system that offers extended set-up options and monitored assembly
