The Liebherr LR 1200.1 without plug and the LR 1250.1 without plug are the world’s first battery-operated crawler cranes. Both are driven by electric motors with a system output of 255 kilowatts.
Compared to conventional versions, there are no compromises in terms of performance or availability. The unplugged LR 1200.1 has a maximum load capacity of 200 tons and the LR 1250.1 can lift 250 tons.
The blue accent in the color composition, which gives the Unplugged series its unmistakable appearance, symbolizes the electrical solution, which is an advanced technology. The unplugged cranes achieve the best possible combination of operator benefit, efficiency and ecological sustainability.
The new machines are emission-free and have a very low noise level – – A great advantage in noise-sensitive areas and also for the people who work on the construction site.
The cranes can be charged with a conventional power supply on site (32 A, 63 A) in 4.5 hours and optionally with 125 A in 2.25 hours. The capacity of the battery is designed for 4 hours of lifting operation. According to their name, the cranes can be operated without cables thanks to the battery-electric drive.
“The year 2020 has shown that you have to be open-minded and courageous to break new ground. With our unplugged cranes, we offer our customers an alternative drive design, “said Gerhard Frainer, Head of Sales at Liebherr-Werk Nenzing GmbH.” As we have already seen with the Unplugged LB 16, the first battery-operated drill rig is The strategy is a complete success. Strict requirements for ecological sustainability in tenders for construction projects increase the demand for advanced technologies. It was clear to us that we would expand the design in other product groups and establish it successfully. “
