HIAB XS 099 HiProCARGOTEC CORPORATION, PRESS RELEASE APRIL 28, 2021 AT 1:45 PM
Hiab, part of Cargotec, will supply leading British landscaping manufacturer Marshalls for eight years with 108 new HIAB loader cranes, which are equipped with the associated HiConnect ™ and ProCare ™ repair and maintenance contracts. The order value of EUR 4.9 million was ordered and booked in the incoming order from Cargotec for the first quarter of 2021.
Marshalls is a complete third-party landscape products business – from planning and engineering to guidance and delivery. From the Scottish Highlands to the southern tip of England, they offer a three-day delivery promise, even for precious and fragile items delivered from their fleet of 200 vehicles.
The cranes ordered are the mid-range HIAB X-HiDuo 138 B-2 loading cranes with HIAB Brick Grabs, which will be delivered to Massey Truck Engineering, who will install them on truck-trailer combinations, as well as the HIAB X-HiPro 099R roller loaders with installed brick grabs on SDC trailers, building board platform trailers. Both are remotely controlled to give the operator the best possible field of vision, improving precision and safety for yourself and the environment. All complete units are delivered to Marshalls via Zenith.
“After Marshalls had set up a fleet replacement strategy for the next five years, it was important that Marshalls did a thorough review of all of his equipment, including his cranes, which is an integral part of the level of delivery service offered to our customers. After a market assessment, testing current crane models and gathering important feedback from our drivers, Hiab was selected as the crane supplier for Marshalls. We were particularly impressed by the added benefits of the HiConnect system and the high level of service that has already been achieved for the existing Hiab fleet, ”he says Nigel Basey, Director of Logistics, Marshalls plc.
“We are honored that Marshalls has selected Hiab as the supplier for their new fleet of loading crane trucks. Our cranes are the perfect choice for costly items that need to be delivered safely, quickly and efficiently so that Marshalls can deliver on their customer promise, ”he says John Bailey, Director of International Key Accounts, Hiab.
He continues: “The ProCare agreement we have chosen means that we will take care of all necessary maintenance work, replace all spare parts and carry out all unscheduled repairs at no additional cost. This ensures Marshalls the best uptime, while HiConnect optimizes the performance of their fleet. “
HiConnect ™ increases the productivity of Hiab customers’ businesses by connecting Hiab devices. The technology provides real-time insights into the utilization, operation and health of the devices. This data can be used to actively optimize performance and security and avoid unnecessary downtime. Web-based dashboards with clear and simple overviews provide status monitoring, service planning and help improve the operation of every unit and operator.
Hiab ProCare ™ service contracts can be tailored to device and business needs with three different levels of coverage. All worn out wearing parts are replaced with original spare parts and all work is carried out by Hiab-certified service professionals. Planned and preventive maintenance ensures availability at fixed monthly costs. This reduces costs over the life of the devices and increases the resale value.
