In the fourth quarter of 2020 Goeyvaerts-R bvba (Goeyvaerts) ordered four more eco-efficient Konecranes Gottwald mobile harbor cranes for their rental fleet in ports in the Netherlands and Belgium. The cranes will be delivered from January to October 2021.

Goeyvaerts was founded in the 1950s and is a family company with almost 70 years of logistics experience. The company has a strong presence in northwestern Europe, cross-border and offers crane rental packages with technical support around the clock. Their typical customers include startups that want to reduce the financial risk at the start of operations, companies that only have to use harbor cranes occasionally, and companies that need additional harbor cranes for better economic flexibility. Goeyvaerts’ business is growing and they decided to buy four more mobile harbor cranes.
“These new cranes are the right investment for the growing rental market,” says Kevin Goeyvaerts, co-owner and COO of Goeyvaerts. “Konecranes has always provided high quality equipment that is ideal for rent: strong and reliable, eco-efficient and easy to adapt to different customer needs. We look forward to choosing you again. “
One of the four new cranes will be a Konecranes Gottwald Model 6 mobile harbor crane in the GHMK 6507 variant. With a capacity of
125 t and a maximum working radius of 51 m can accommodate both bulk goods and containers. The other three units are Konecranes Gottwald Model 7 mobile harbor cranes in variant G HMK 7608 B, 4-rope grab cranes for continuous operation of bulk goods. With a load capacity of up to 150 t and a maximum radius of 54 m, they have the range of Super Post Panamax container ships and Capesize bulkers for containers and heavy freight. All four cranes have built-in standby for an external power supply, so switching to electrical operation is easy when resources allow.
“With the addition of these four new cranes, Goeyvaerts’s Konecranes Gottwald fleet will be expanded to a total of 24, giving their customers an even wider range of options for handling all types of cargo,” says Alexandros Stogianidis, Director Sales Benelux at Konecranes Port Solutions. “Our long-term partnership clearly shows
Goeyvaerts’ trust in us so that your business can continue to grow and be successful in the future. ”
