The Community Library Network is hosting a “Touch a Truck” event on Wednesday June 30th from 11am to 12pm at the American Legion in Post Falls.

The “Touch a Truck” event includes several military vehicles, SWAT vehicles, the bear cat of the Sheriff’s Office, sarge from the “Transformer” films as well as the Discovery Bus and the Book Mobile of the Community Library Network.

This free, family-friendly event gives children of all ages a chance to get up close and personal with different trucks and the people who operate them.

“This event is all about the children. After we canceled last year due to COVID-19, we just had to do it this year, ”said Cherie Millsap, youth services specialist for the Community Library Network.

Families can snap photos, talk to the professionals who work with the vehicles, and ask questions. The American Legion is located at 1138 E. Poleline Ave. in Post Falls.

“The Legion was a huge asset in hosting this event,” said Millsap.
