EnerMech has named Steve Swanson as head of cranes and hoists to lead growth in Africa after a number of project wins over the past five months.
Swanson has over 40 years of crane maintenance and operation experience and has held a number of senior positions including Executive Director – Africa and Regional Operations Director within the sector. With an extensive local network, he has worked closely with government agencies and has a long track record of executing multi-million pound contracts with an emphasis on service delivery and HSEQ standards.
He will play a key role in the company’s training and skills solution service in Luanda. The company recently opened its new, upgraded facility in the center of Angola’s largest port, which includes classrooms, an on-site simulator and a convenient facility for banker slinger and rigger classes. The team also has the ability to provide remote training for customers’ operations around the world.
