DICA recently made a historic sale in Antarctica to the United States Antarctic Program (USAP). With this purchase, the boom and crane supports from DICA are now in use on all seven continents and in more than 50 countries worldwide.

USAP – supports the Antarctic Treaty, a conservation effort to protect native plants, animals and their habitats – bought a set of SafetyTech Outrigger Pads. The purchase was made on the recommendation of a crane operator who already had experience with the SafetyTech Outrigger Pads. that are approved for use at temperatures down to minus 40 degrees Fahrenheit.

“Antarctic soil conditions in the area in which these are to be used consist mainly of volcanic rock or solid ice,” see SectHelp Kris Koberg, CEO of DICA. “SafetyTech Outrigger Pads have unbreakable strength, industrial-grade safety textures, and deliver reliable performance in demanding and unpredictable environments, making them perfect for USAP’s needs.”

USAP’s SafetyTech Outrigger Pads were shipped from Iowa in April and will arrive in Antarctica in the 2021/2022 season.
