Crane Brewing Company Introduces a new “cold IPA,” considered cold due to its crispier taste, and the next in their line of CraneCares charity projects. The IPA called “The time is always right” will benefit from this Project WHEN, an organization that strives to end harassment in the workplace.
The name of the beer is inspired by the quote from Martin Luther King Jr., “It is always time to do the right thing. “Michael Crane and Chris Meyers, co-owners of Crane Brewing, founded the IPA to end workplace harassment in the brewing industry.
“We think now is the right time to address problems in our industry,” says Crane. “Unfortunately, the hospitality industry of which we are a part has contributed to the creation of toxic work environments. We need to stand up for what is right and work to remove the factors that contribute to harassment. We hope that our partnership with Project WHEN will provide a number of actionable responses to avoid harassment and create an environment in which we all want to work – one in which everyone receives the dignity and respect they deserve. ”
The WHEN project aims at all kinds of harassment in the workplace. By donating the proceeds to the organization, the Crane Brewing Company hopes to draw more attention to and stop harassment. To achieve this goal, Crane and Project WHEN are hosting a virtual panel discussion on Thursday, March 25th, from 7.30pm to 8.30pm. The event is free and open to everyone. “Employees in myriad organizations and industries – including the alcohol industry – have long suffered harassment. The public awareness of the increasing number of allegations of sexual harassment has opened our eyes to the severity of the harassment, ”said Diane Stegmeier, founder and CEO of Project WHEN.
Time-limited six-packs The time is always right IPA will be available from Friday, March 19, 4 p.m. in Cranes taproom. It’s a Pilsner-style beer, but Crane uses lager yeast and Pilsner malt to make a crunchier and lighter beer that still has a hop flavor in it.
