The Shelby County Commissioners approved a reallocation Tuesday morning with plans to build another store in the Pleasant View area.
For the petitioner, Central Rent-A-Crane, the panel has rededicated 14.15 acres at 9250 N. Frontage Road from agricultural to industrial to build a facility.
The company is a heavy machinery factory that offers rentals, sales, and parts, according to its website. The parent company is the largest privately owned crane rental and sales company in the United States
Rent-A-Crane will relocate its Indianapolis office to Pleasant View. The Indy office is one of three within the state.
According to the meeting materials of the planning commission from 22.
The proposed development includes a 21,600 square meter office and commercial building, a 12,000 square meter covered outdoor storage area, an approximately 7.5 hectare gravel outdoor storage area, a paved parking lot with over 100 spaces, a gas station, weighing scales and a catch basin.
Plan director Desiree Calderella said she thought the address was a good place for the company. She also said the site map hid the heavy equipment from the highway.
This will be the fourth store to be built in the Pleasant View area.
The commissioners have also zoned two other lots from agricultural to residential: two acres at 6752 W. 850 South, Edinburgh and 2.5 acres on the west side of Sugar Creek Road, a quarter of a mile north of W. Shelby 500.
Both perimeter zones will allow any of their petitioners to build a house.
In other shops, the commissioners opened offers for three-axle trucks. The six commandments ranged from $ 74,000 to $ 126,000 for different types of trucks.
The board held these offers for a week while Highway Superintendent Kem Anderson reviews them.
