A man died this morning after a devastating incident involving a Franna pick-and-carry crane in Stapylton, between Brisbane and the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia.
The incident, which occurred near the loading dock of swimming pool manufacturer Narellan Pools, involved a Franna 12-ton articulated crane moving a large fiberglass pool.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said: “The crane had contact with the man and subsequently caused life-threatening and life-threatening crush injuries. A team from the High Acuity Response Unit with a doctor visited the scene and performed CPR, but tragically the man died on the scene. “
Health and Safety at Work Queensland has launched an investigation into the cause of the incident and issued a statement stating, “As the investigation is ongoing, no further comments can be made on the cause of the incident.”
