EVENT: Virtual commemoration

DETAILS: Veterans and military personnel on active duty will be honored by Mayor Susan Shin Angulo and the local council during this virtual memorial service. Hosted by American Legion Post 372 and Jewish War Veterans Post 126, the ceremony will mark the 125th anniversary of Jewish War Veterans and the 30th anniversary of Operation Gulf Storm.

EVENT: National Trails Day
DATE: Saturday 5th June 2021
TIME: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Free; Registration required.
DETAILS: The Cherry Hill Environmental Board will be making improvements to the trails, removing invasive species, picking up trash along the trails, and more on this Hometown Pathway Service and Endorsement Day.
Interested participants should wear work clothes and bring insect repellent and sunscreen with them. Crews can be dispatched to various locations after checking in at Croft Farm. EVENT: Independence Day 5K and Block Party
DATE: Sunday 4th July 2021
TIME: 8 a.m. – 11 a.m.
LOCATION: Croft Farm, 100 Bortons Mill Road, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034
COST: 5,000: $ 35 per person; 1 mile walk: $ 20 per person
DETAILS: Start your vacation with Mayor Susan Shin Angulo and the Cherry Hill Parish Council for the First Independence Day 5K and the Block Party at Croft Farm.
The morning offers a 3 mile and 1 mile walk through Croft Farm and Maria Barnaby Greenwald Park (a mix of sidewalk and hiking trail). The prizes will be given to the three best male and female age group finishers in the 5K run. Runners are encouraged to dress in their favorite red, white, and blue. The best runner with the 4th topic wins a prize!
Enjoy post-race refreshments, award shows, freebies, DJs and more. The first 250 runners / walkers receive a t-shirt. Please register by June 18th to guarantee the size of the shirt. Participants will also receive credit for free refreshments. Anyone who is not registered has the opportunity to buy groceries. So bring the whole family for some patriotic fun this July Fourth.

$ 35 5k entry fee until September 22nd (start at 8:30 a.m.)
DETAILS: Join us for the fifth annual Book It 5K hosted by the Cherry Hill Public Library and the Cherry Hill Township Mayor’s Wellness Campaign. The morning features a 3 mile, 1 mile walk and a 100 yard kids dash with chip timing. Participants in the 5K and 1-Mile Walk receive a T-shirt.
The Book It 5K & Wellness Day is supported by the following community partners: Specialized Physical Therapy.
Volunteer opportunities are available during the 5K run. A portion of all race fees goes to the Cherry Hill Public Library.
