CHICAGO, Feb. 6 / PRNewswire / – Fan-favorite attractions like Camp Jeep Test Tracks and Ram Trucks Territory return for the 2021 special edition of the Chicago Auto Show, which will take place July 15-19 at McCormick Place. That news comes roughly two weeks after the official announcement that the show will open its doors to fans this summer. The Chicago Auto Show will be one of McCormick Place’s first public live public events since the shutdown of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Experiences like Camp Jeep and Ram Trucks Territory are one of the main reasons people love attending the Chicago Auto Show,” said Dave Sloan, general manager of the Chicago Auto Show. “Because of their popularity, people have been used to waiting in long lines for these vehicles and test tracks. However, this summer the customer experience will be enhanced as people will now be able to electronically pre-book a time slot for these experiences. ” while they are planning their visit to the fair, which is a benefit of the efforts we are making to narrow the lines and reduce the congestion within the exhibits. ”
Camp Jeep has been an integral part of the Chicago Auto Show since 2005. 2021 is the 17th year in a row that the brand has presented the interactive exhibition to visitors. The ultimate off-road test drive, the Camp Jeep features an 18-foot, 35-degree mountain where passengers experience the extreme off-road and traction capabilities of the latest Jeep vehicles – including the brand new 2021 Wrangler 4xe plug-in Hybrid SUV and 2021 Gladiator Pickup – without stepping a foot outside the auto show. The course will consist of several obstacles that stimulate some of the rigorous tests that Jeep vehicles undergo before customers get behind the wheel. Each Camp Jeep participant also receives a free Jeep shopping bag while supplies last.
The Ram Truck Territory stretch is 28,000 square feet. The ultimate in-truck adventure, the Chicago Auto Show attendees get the chance to hop on a Ram 1500, 2500, and 3500 to experience the technology, interiors, and capabilities of the truck brand. Professional drivers will guide guests through a course that highlights the suspension of the trucks as they conquer steel culverts and navigate on a wedge with high embankments to emphasize ground clearance and stability. Riders will also feel the traction and experience the technology of going downhill on the legendary “Ram Mountain,” a 13-foot mountain. high, 30 foot long course element with 30 degree approach and departure angles.
“We look forward to the return of the Chicago Auto Show, where consumers can once again experience our famous Camp Jeep and Ram Truck Territory activations,” said Jason Russ, director of Experiential Marketing at Stellantis. “This year, Camp Jeep will include the 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe and the 2021 Jeep Wrangler 392, and attendees will have the opportunity to see, for the first time, the all-new 2022 Grand Wagoneer and Wagoneer, and the all-new 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L.
