RANCHO PALOS VERDES, Calif. (KABC) – A large construction crane overturned Monday afternoon and hit the roof of a house in Rancho Palos Verdes.
No casualties were reported, but city search and rescue teams were called to the scene to determine the damage to the structural integrity of the home.
The collapse was reported at around 4:30 p.m. in Block 30100 of Cartier Drive in Rancho Palos Verdes.
It appears that the crane was hoisting beams into the back yard of the house when it overturned. The crane crashed through the roof and came to a halt on the top floor of the house while the truck that anchored the equipment was lifted by two wheels and stayed partially on its side as the crews responded.
