Three giant cranes arrived in San Francisco Bay on Wednesday morning on their way to the port of Oakland.
Taller than the famous Tribune Tower in Oakland, valued at $ 30 million, the largest container cranes ever to enter the city arrived from China on Wednesday.

Stevedoring Services of America invested $ 30 million in the ship-to-shore cranes for its Oakland International Container Terminal location.
With the crane booms raised, they will tower over the Oakland wharf more than 400 feet. The new cranes are needed to service the ultra-large container ships that arrive in port.

The Zhen Hua 35 stopped at Drakes Bay to allow the crew to lower the crane booms so it could pass under the Golden Gate and Bay bridges. After this maneuver was completed, the outriggers were raised as the ship reached its anchorage in the bay.

The ship remains anchored in the bay for several days before docking in Oakland Harbor.
