Australian crane rental company Northwest Crane Hire has taken delivery of the first 100-ton Liebherr LRT 1100-2.1 rough-terrain crane to be delivered in the country, as well as a 300-ton LTM 1300-6.2 all-terrain crane.

The two-axis LRT 1100-2.1 has a 50-meter main boom with five sections, a 10.5-meter extension and the Variobase system for setting up an automatic boom with several positions. The crane went straight to a construction project.

The six-axle LTM 1300-6.2 has a 78-meter main boom with seven sections and a 70-meter luffing boom.

Bernie Johnson, Northwest General Manager, said: “It is important to me to offer my customers reliable cranes and to have a service partner that I can rely on. That is why we only have high-quality machines in our fleet. It’s exciting to have the first crane of this type on site with us. The LRT 1100-2.1 offers a high degree of flexibility in the field. “

Norwest Crane Hire, based in Pilbara, Western Australia, claims to have the youngest fleet in the region, which includes 18 Liebherrs at two locations as well as pick & carry and loading cranes.
